- A very accomplished 2,013 to 2,015-year-old Jewish Rabbi (proud to call him friend)
- A woman who shared the awkward gift and task of being 7,000 miles away and also being the one whom I happen to be in love with
- A mentally challenged middle-aged Arab Christian man
- An emaciated 17-year-old Kurdish young man
- Half a dozen conservative Muslim mothers
Well, I am not sure how far away I am, probably about 7000 miles too. I read your blogs when able and I rejoice at the cups of water you deliver. There is something very penetrating about this note. I know that at times what can seem hardest is being "outposted," where you are little known. I also know when I feel sorry for myself it can get me in trouble. In your note I hear your surrender and hope the purity of the lonliness is working good in you for your whole life journey.
ReplyDeleteThrough your note I feel convicted about the times I struggle with who it is my day's journey to befriend. Thank you. Think of my as your unknown cyber auntie if you like.
I agree with Auntie J! :D
ReplyDeleteAlso I was about to say ...psh who is this person before me on the list... but then I realized...lol.. he is insanely more awesome and amazing than me :D
<3
If "He" wasn't before you on the list then it wouldn't be the right list to be on....would it...
